At the junction of Westphalia, the Lower Rhine and the Netherlands – the vacation park “Wolfssee” (wolve lake) in Isselburg awaits you.

The 120.000 sqm large, crystal clear Wolfssee, offers its guests and plot owners pure relaxation.

From the stud Moorhof in a few steps – or by bike – to reach. Fishing, surfing, swimming. Rowing, or just digging on the beach, volleyball … homely just-roofed houses, log cabins, modern half-timbered houses as well as caravans and mobile homes serve their owners as weekend and vacation domiciles.

Castle experience surrounded by nature and history

YES, you heard right. We have remained faithful to the water castles 😉 The Moorhof is located just 900m away from the fantastically beautiful water castle Anholt.

There you can even stay overnight and enjoy culinary highlights from the castle kitchen with a unique view of the princely castle park in a real castle hotel. The castle park of Wasserburg Anholt is 34 hectares in size and can be traced back to the 16th century. Look forward to a culinary time-out and relaxing walks surrounded by nature and history.

Cycling and hiking in the border triangle

Our farm is situated in a unique location for nature and culture lovers. Explore the border triangle Münsterland, Lower Rhine and the Netherlands by bike or on foot. There are enough routes to discover!

Golf

Attention all golf lovers: The Moorhof stud farm is located near the Wasserburg Anholt golf course. An 18-hole golf course, with relaxation guaranteed for golf fans.

Family experience

That was not all by far! Close to the Moorhof stud farm, in addition to the Anholt moated castle and the golf course, there is also “Anholt Switzerland”. It is a real experience for animal lovers! The biotope wildlife park looks after over 300 animals and a total of 50 species. Also the Cockpit kart track in Bocholt or the climbing park in Borken are special destinations for the whole family.

Just 400 meters from our riding facility you only have to walk or ride to get to the great neighboring country “Holland”. Holland offers many unforgettable excursions. For example, the national park “De Hoge Veluwe”.

Day trip to Rees

The city of Rees with a beautiful Rhine promenade awaits you after riding 😉.

The Reeser Rhine promenade is one of the biggest tourist attractions of the city. From here you have the possibility to cross over to the other side of the Rhine with the passenger ferry or to start a tour on the Rhine with the passenger ships “Stadt Rees” or “Germania”. Stroll along 700-year-old city walls with water level, customs and mill towers. With the help of large descriptive information boards or during a guided city tour you can explore the history of the historical city fortification.
