The Moorhof Stud Farm is moving

From 30.8.2021 we would like to welcome you at our new location!

We remain who we are, just in a different place.

Our new address from 30.08.2021 is: Gestüt Moorhof, Sandweg 1, 46419 Isselburg

When the wind of change blows, some build walls and others windmills, a wise man once said. As far as we are concerned, they are not windmills, but a riding facility.
In this or a similar way, the team at Gestüt Moorhof has been dealing with the topic of “change” for the past year and a half. And we have come to the decision to find a new place of action for all Moorhof residents and students.

We promise you already now to have found a relaxing place for your training vacation. 10 wonderful years at Kakesbeck Castle are behind us and we have enjoyed every day. But now an exciting change with many new possibilities is taking place and we are very much looking forward to welcoming you all soon at the new location.

How are your horses stabled?

Everything remains as it was! Our guest stables with allergy friendly bedding are ready for you. Of course, there are also guest paddocks for your horses, which you can use hourly or the whole day.
Upon arrival you can let us know if your horse needs hay from us (regular 10kg per horse and more in consultation) or if you want to bring your own hay.
As before, you will have to bring all supplementary food. Feeding and mucking out of the guest stables will be done by us. The feeding of hay in the paddock, the putting out/putting in of your horses on the guest paddocks, is still taken over by you. Also, the mucking of the used guest paddocks remains as before your task.

What if I need to reschedule an appointment?

Of course, we can understand if due to the new location you need to postpone or reschedule your appointment. Just send us an e-mail to: info@gestuet-moorhof.de

When can I book appointments for 2022?

We start the calendar for the year 2022 approximately in September 2021. We always accept date requests for weekly students & weekend courses first. Then training days, followed by individual appointments.

Can I do my scheduled classes online?

Of course, you can make your scheduled appointment(s) in online classes. Just inform us about your wish with a short e-mail: info@gestuet-moorhof.de.

Can I cancel my already booked appointment(s)?

Yes, we think it is a pity, but if it will not be possible for you to come to us because of the new route, you can cancel your scheduled appointment. We can also try to reschedule your appointment for another weekend. Just contact us by e-mail: info@gestuet-moorhof.de.

Is there also lunch at Gestüt Moorhof?

Due to Corona and constantly changing restrictions, we have decided to stop offering lunch at Gestüt Moorhof until further notice. However, you can buy lunch within a few minutes’ drive or bring your own. As we would like to avoid large amounts of rubbish, we ask that you take the rubbish back with you and dispose of it at home.

Exception! – For larger seminars, such as Bent Branderup seminars, we will provide a small amount of food, as well as coffee and cake for a small fee.

Is there an indoor riding arena at the new location?

The training conditions will not change for you at our new location. We have an indoor riding arena for our usual calm training regardless of the weather

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are still not allowed on the premises of Gestüt Moorhof. However, you are welcome to bring your dog with you. The surroundings around Gestüt Moorhof invite you to take a walk in the woods. Bicycling with your dog is also possible. Our parking lot is right next to the stable, so your dog can wait in or by the car for the next walk.

Can I bring 2 horses for training?

Depending on the capacities, it is possible to bring two or more horses for training. However, this must always be arranged in advance. We always reserve one guest stable per person. If you are bringing two or more horses, please contact us by e-mail: info@gestuet-moorhof.de.

Will there still be training horses at Gestüt Moorhof?

Yes, also in the future we will be able to provide you with training horses on a small scale. This must be requested by e-mail when requesting an appointment. E-mail: info@gestuet-moorhof.de

Is there still the possibility to come to Gestüt Moorhof as a working student?
